Glenwood Junior High Students Earn Perfect Scores on State Assessments

Glenwood Junior High students earned 17 perfect scores on this year’s state assessments, showcasing outstanding achievement across several subjects.

Leading the way in math were seven students in Mrs. DePaola’s eighth grade Algebra class who earned perfect scores on the state assessment. The accomplishment reflects the hard work of the students and the strong instruction and support provided in Mrs. DePaola’s classroom throughout the year.

Eighth graders Dom Barella and Sa’Mya also earned perfect scores on their 8th grade math assessments with the support and encouragement of teachers Mrs. Gozur and Mrs. Mosora.

Special notice to 8th grader Cecilia Young, who earned a perfect score on the Science assessment — the first perfect Science score for the school. Congratulations to Cecilia and her teacher, Laura Frost.

Also, for the first time, two BGJHS 8th graders received perfect scores In English Language Arts. Lauren Lyden and Elliot Simpson aced the ELA exam. Their teachers, Mrs. Strines and Ms. Resch are incredibly proud of their efforts.

In seventh grade, five students earned perfect Math scores. Congratulations to Audrey, Jeffrey, Maurelius, Nico and Braden and their amazing teachers Mr. Barrett and Ms. Ebie
